for sale to knowledgeable and approved home only. lunar is a three and a half year old, green-broken bay filly. she has been lunged, mouthed, saddled and mounted, as well as having several short rides around the paddock both with and without a saddle on. she needs more ground work done and a knowledgeable person to further her education. she is 14.1hh, with possibly another inch or two to grow. she is also microchipped, up to date with vaccinations and has had her teeth and feet done recently. her dam is pure standardbred, but her sire's breed is unknown as she came from a situation of neglect in which random horses bred together. we believe she is something like standardbred x quarter horse. this horse has been a delight to own and train, and is being sold due to no fault of her own, only because her owners dont have time to work with her. she is a sweet horse with no nastiness: no biting, kicking, rearing or any bad behaviour whatsoever. she has always seemed eager to please and willing to learn. easy to catch and rug. she hasnt been shod but has been trimmed many times without any problems. she has been floated several times now and just takes a few seconds of coaxing to get on. given this filly has come from a situation of neglect, the owners are being very cautious about where she goes. she would make a great project pony and already had all of the basic lessons taught - just needs that bit more work done on the ground for her to be confident when ridden. asking $550, but willing to negotiate to the right home.
